First in a while

First time reviewing anything in a while... but I love it! Love the breakdown. Oh and your mixing and mastering on this song, at least with my skullcandy's is fucking amazing. Every bass kick and even each individual snare hits are very defined. Nice work man. Very much enjoyed:)

Burn7 responds:

Lol yes, it has been quite a while. I'm glad you noticed the drumset definition since I actually did sit there for a little bit and work on it.

Glad that you're back on what us cool peeps call "The Internets".

Lol

This song turned from anger and depression to... Lets kick some ass! Love the drum kit you added. I enjoy the lead synth/background synth thingy, although it repeats a lot. Lol one of the parts in the song kinda reminds me of Zelda.

And at 2:35, the phaser or whatever you have on there pops really really bad. lol It was kinda bothering me. You know how little things like that bother me.

I also agree that you went a little overboard at some parts with the effects. Overall it was a wonderful idea though.

Burn7 responds:

Lol it's amazing what a simple drumkit can do for the badassitude of your song.

Yeah I know, I really didn't even mean to keep that filtering effect I had at 2:33 anyway, so I'll fix that.

Seriously though, one thing I have learned from writing this is that FX can really make a song. So I'll be playing with them a lot more often now :D

Great great!

Listen to this with headphones. Makes quite a difference. At like 1:55ish, you are playing a pretty complex pattern. And when you have it on speakers, you can't tell very well. It kinda just sounds mushed together. When you use headphones, it is very very clear.

Also like the cleaned up faster parts throughout the song.

Love the new effect on the guitar at 2:37. Awesome!

Also headphones make a huge difference in hearing the placement of everything. Guitars on both sides, drums in the middle, etc...

Love the pokemon sound effects in it:) glad you decided to add those back in.

One thing i did notice that not sure i liked, i guess i didnt hate it though, just different. You changed the very very beginning intro sound just a little bit. Not
sure why. But whatever. Doesnt sound bad.

One thing I did notice about the whole song, is everything flows so much smoother. The guitars flow much much better with the re-recording. And everything fits perfectly with everything else.

Love the new one, loved the old one. Keep on making that bad ass music!

Burn7 responds:

That's right you sit there and compliment my song. I know where you live.

Love:)

So many hours spent listening to this song... Blue, Red, and yellow versions... many hours making up my own little things to this song because you've heard it so many times. Anyways, love the song as always.

Burn7 responds:

Thanks dude. Always awesome to have you check my shit :D

Oh:( LOL!!!

You took out the retard sounding "Go Go Power Rangers!" But i guess it still works with my high voice. Lol and I love how you actually put "2 pantyhose ruined" but really, they werent even pantyhose... they were more fake song thingys... but yeah. Whatever. Lol still love this song.

Burn7 responds:

Yeah I decided it was only funny to us. Because nobody else would understand the backstory and so they would just hear retarded people singing "Go Go Power Rangers DUR" and not get why it's funny.

Lol

Reminds me of Zelda. Not bad though. Just doesnt sound super original. But you might not have been going for that. So yeah. Overall, not bad.

blazephoenix responds:

I tried to make it sound slightly different from a Kirby game, but wanted to make the song to maintain its Kirby feeling.
I find it funny who so many people tell me that this sounds more like a Zelda song than a Kirby one.

Thank you for your comment.

Maybe...

You could have even put this in the classical section. This is really good stuff. Are you actually playing the piano? Or is it some sort of Vst?

ThePineapplePirate responds:

Nah it's a VST, don't have any recording equipment to record real piano and even if I did i'm stuck with a pretty crappy keyboard.

Nice job there my friend

The only thing i can say, is maybe turn it into a longer song. Split up the 2 parts and make 2 seperate parts to 2 different songs for a game? And also, the effect you have on the lead is a little much. A little less could have been better. But great job!

kjhsdgf responds:

thanks for the review!
i'll definitely keep that in mind if i continue this
